Dawam Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

1. Who we are

Dawam (dawam.ps) is an attendance and payroll management service for companies. This policy explains what data the Dawam website and the Dawam mobile app process, and why. Questions or requests go through your employer's HR, who will reach us on your behalf.

2. A workplace service

Dawam is used by companies to manage their own workforce. There is no self-serve sign-up: your employer creates your account and controls the workforce records kept in it. For most of the data described below, your employer is the data controller and Dawam processes it on the employer's behalf.

3. Data we process

Push notifications (Android app): if you enable notifications, the app registers a device token with our server so we can deliver notifications about your requests and payslips. The token is stored only while you are signed in and is deleted when you sign out or your session expires. Notification text never contains pay amounts, hours or the reasons for a decision.

4. How we use data

Only to provide the service: recording attendance, computing payroll, producing reports and payslips, keeping accounts secure, preventing abuse, and supporting customers. We do not sell data, we show no advertising, and we use no third-party analytics or tracking.

5. Cookies

A single session cookie keeps you signed in (it expires after 30 days without use). There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Third parties and hosting

Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. The service is hosted on servers in Germany. No other third party receives your data.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, and access to records is restricted by each account's role.

8. Retention

Workforce records are kept for as long as the employer's account is active, or as the employer instructs. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

9. Your choices and deletion

Because your employer controls the workforce records, requests to correct or delete them go to your employer's HR. The same route applies to anything else, including deletion of account data — your employer's HR will reach us on your behalf and we will respond.

10. Children

Dawam is a workplace tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.

11. Changes

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date.
